Today I delivered all my artwork to Eye Candy Gallery in Southern Pines for my featured artist stint which starts next week Friday. This means I delivered everything a couple days early. It just had to go. All the new pieces were made, just a few finishing touches where needed. So why not finish early. It was time.
What a relief. I can breathe.
Over the last 3 months, my studio, guest bedroom, and guest bathroom experienced ongoing creative explosions. Again. I tried to stay on top of it. But there was little time available to clean up everything, because most everything that was out was being used.
The HAZMAT team will be here tomorrow to start the clean up duties (guests will very soon be needing the spare bedroom). Tonight, however, it is time to relax and reflect on all the efforts that I made to create 4 new pieces of art for this exhibit. I’m happy with everything that I did.
I’m also happy to say a special guest will be at my artist reception next Friday. When I reflect on my life, I’ve always felt that this one person was there watching over me. She made sure I made the right decisions and that the path was easier than it could have been. If you make it to Eye Candy Gallery next Friday, look for her and say hello.
