Fall is definitely in the air in my neck of the woods. After we turned the clocks back from daylight savings time, the days just seem really short. Even with the shorter day, I usually feel revitalized with the cooler temperatures. It also doesn’t hurt that I have been in a flurry working on and scheduling upcoming classes.
Have you ever looked at the tab labeled “classes” at the top of my blog? I do my best to keep things updated. Every time I add a new class I try to add it here as soon as I know the specifics.
I don’t usually announce my classes in my blog posts, but I’m going to do that today. I’m quite excited that I developed 2 new classes this past month. I revised by “Early Bloomers” pattern that was published in Quilts and More magazine a few years back. Instead of costly wool, I gave it a kick with colorful cotton fabrics.
I also designed a simple apron that can be made in 3-sizes; adult, youth and toddler. I can seriously envision a family gathering where everyone, including the wee ones, are dressed in matching coverups. I made shop samples in all 3-sizes and can’t wait to make another one just for me. I have the perfect Mark Hordyszynski fabric all picked out.
So needless to say, I’ve been a bit busy the last couple weeks. Between hanging and opening an art quilt exhibit, designing patterns, scheduling classes, and working on my own art quilts, I’m feeling full of energy. The cool weather is always good for me. Do you feel the same? Does the change in seasons inspire and energize you?
